Ok I am going to lay it all out…don’t read or be prepared if you do. I am angry and I am vocal about it.
So Italy’s reported deaths have surpassed China’s as China reports a day of no new cases.
I am sorry, my skeptic is having a field day with all of this. I think China’s numbers and dates are inaccurate. Italy is much more likely to be transparent.
I also believe we are not in the first wave of this. I believe its been here circulating undocumented since last Fall.
I believe we have been clocking this flu season as particuarly harsh because there are a significant number of ‘Flu” experiences which have actually been Covid-19.
A dear friend who is a Naturpath told me his practice this fall and winter had a significantly higher number of ‘Flu” patients who described four or five days of high fever which left a dry hacking cough and tight chest.
What enrages me about the difficulty the lack of testing here in the US (in order to protect this Administration’s hold over its voting base) is, by not acknowledging Covid-19’s presence until it was unavoidable, and not testing universally (which is another cloaking strategy) we have no way of knowing if we are carrying even though asymptomatic. Those with symptoms are unable to be tested unless by some miracle they make it through the red tape quagmire and have to wait for days for results. Because of the effect of the politically driven delay and denial, we have no way of knowing if there are a significant number of those recovered from what was thought to be the “wow, this was a really terrible flu season” whose antibody-filled plasma could be used to treat those particualrly in need.
Oh I am bubbling with rage about such a transparent display of political manipulation.
We are being bombarded with contradictory analyses of the characteristics of this thing. And effective strategies being employed in other countries are not part of our news feeds.
Instead we are subjected to Trump’s grand gestures and announcements of Bills of astronomical aid packages, the likelihood of being fully funded are slim but, hey, his idiot base is going to cling to the sound of his horrible voice uttering impossibles which will never materialize.
Now we are so frightened we are being told to limit access to that which biochemically we are hard wired to find security at times of stress-its called Social Distancing, while we watch with horror the stock market melt away our financial security which trickles down to delete the services dependent on the extras, leaving those most vulnerable among us to not be able to hord groceries or sanitizers or whatever the fuck our paranoia causes us to reach to grab.
We are being told even our beloved family members could be the cause of our deaths. Our pets are suspect!!! Jesus Fucking Christ on the Cross in July!!!! Forgive me the blasphemic phrase, I believe he is apalled also.
We are being convinced to strip ourselves of so much and be complacently cooperative with strategies which may or may not be effective to cover the massive fuckups of our infrastructure’s management which we rely on to keep us safe from shit like this.
