24th January, 2019 Thursday
Tea is Black and Milked.
Day was sun bright vibrant begging for embrace. Sky’s blue swathed with filmy sheets of white curtained by the gray of this afternoon. Warm. Sweet. Hint of spring still two months away. Light lingers just a bit more every afternoon these days. This far North light’s yearly journey from solstice to solstice, waning to waxing is startlingly steep. yes it is quite dark for long but just as dim creeps just inside my soul, light gallops in more everyday. Just enough, this dormant time, here in this place I might just leave.
The volcano just South of here stood stark tressed in winter’s covering of white, thank gods the snow still comes to dress that pointed arrow to the sky. Wy’East the First People’s named it. Wy’East, why East indeed. East is dry and hot from here. West has always been my direction. West. Where we have not been too long to fetter possible. But we are chaining fast out here in the name of progress.
Today Little became a Lady, the spots of red on her back paws broke the news. And off I went to find supplies. Its good that Wizard is off to snip on Monday. He is such a gentleman. Not a hint of interest in his favorite pesky friend for other than annoyance. He is a fine fine dog.
So the next three weeks we have a dog recovering from surgery and a dog in season. Wish us fun.
Here we are last weekend once again. This is Meet the Breed. Little and I are making friends.
