Tea With Me: 15th November, 2018 Thursday

15th November, 2018 Thursday

Well Dream Kite flew low enough for lots of scenes to stick. I am out to lunch with my Mother, Father and Texas Sis at a restaurant which we all know well in that dream familiar way. The food was good and after food we are told there is someone famous who I was unfamiliar with in one of the dining rooms on the side and how exciting all that is. I am still sitting on the cushioned bench seat at the table we have had our lunch feast and for some reason I am greeted by a very large and friendly pitbull mix who insists on sitting on my lap. At first he is quite loving in his squirming but then he gets a little bitey. I am concerned that he is not known that well by those that rescued him who own this fine establishment. He has some scars along his face.

Next scene, I am on a slow train moving up along my driveway. My Texas Sis and Younger Brother are on a quad moving slowly through the snow as it is falling. My Busy Neighbor and his Loyal Dog are trudging alongside carrying heavy equipment. I am looking down on them with the window of the train slid down as it is an old old train and say to Neighbor that my Texas Sis and Younger Brother would be happy to give him a ride. More than once I said this to him as I witnessed his struggling stride through the drifting snow. He would look at me and soften for an instant and then shroud himself in what looked like pride and trudge along some more.

The day was warmer than its been and tea was green. Husband blew the leaves away. Our trees are bare and proud and spindled. The palette of the Earth has muted in the last two weeks.

Thanksgiving is in a week. California burns and Melania plays a revealing card. My dogs are happy in their world and give me joy. We are only a month away from that long nighted day and then the world will lighten very fast as it does this far North.

I will lighten too, I think.

Ta.
