Dream Kite flew too high.
My country had its most important election yesterday. The hoped for Blue Wave did not flood the shores of the Red Party yesterday but the Energy of the Blue quaked the common Red Blue Earth and the tsunami it has set is rolling through the land. The Red is on notice. Blue is no longer so complacent. We are in action.
I am stunned somewhat. Dismayed. So much of my world view has been colored with the assumption that of course humankind is evolving The last two years starting with Brexit vote leading into Trump’s election by the ignorant minority of both countries makes me feel that there is an inherent battle in humanity, light vs dark. I really had thought we in America had figured that one out, that the principles upon which we have progressed the evolution of what were our current laws before Trump slashed through them with the scimitar of seemingly racist fascist rage were set in stone. We could not move backwards. I was wrong. Naive. Sheltered. Rose Coloured Glasses. America harbors all the dark humanity can utter.
I should have known.
I have moments of compassion for our Orange Orangutan, from here on, OO. “Forgive him, Father, for he knows not what he does.”
He’s sending an army to fend off a small wave of refugees of women children and some men claiming on the airwaves we are being invaded by really bad men. Holy Fucking Shit, How the Fuck did we get here within two year of Obama.
Is it the boomerang of racism that gagged itself while Barack, Michelle and their two daughters carried themselves with iconic grace through all their eight years in ways the racist viewer raged at that heaved out Trump and his volcanic firing of the basest parts of our population? I saw nothing in Obama but the model for the highest form of leadership humanity can hope for. My Mama passed five weeks after Trump was elected. Perhaps my dismay at the state of humanity is colored by her loss.
So The Blues have The House and The Reds kept The Senate. Trump asked Sessions to resign and he did. Let us pray to all that is truly Light in the Universe that the Helium in the OO has a very large leak soon.
The day was bright and cold and SIL took off again for yet another off the reservation job. He and Husband in the last week have cleared garage of enough to let the cars sleep inside again. Ah yes.
