Tea With Me: 25th October, 2018 Thursday

25th October, 2018 Thursday

Tea was Earled honeyed creamed and I woke to dim gray day as dogs stirred and greeted me with loving snarfling wags. Down we go to outside and a wee.

The grey of this day perfected the glowing color of the leaves which just last week were still a vivid green. Layered with the shed of trees, the front yard was surfaced in pink, orange, red, purple and then there is the gold. Oh these too few weeks of flaming trees, why cannot it linger just a while more. But the Mistress Earth alone determines what she wears throughout the Year. Only she knows the wisdom of her seasons truly.

This phase of year is all about sleeping seeds. Seeds which promise something in the time to come. Some take longer to become themselves than others. Some will never come. Some seeds can never burst their promise with the Spring as their sources were never strong enough to imbue them with the spark of life. And some small seeds which seem too wee to hold the fire of life hold the promise of the mighty sturdy oak.

The Moon spilled its blue light across me as I lay waiting for the sleep haze to take me off to dream. I know the Kite flew with me last night high away from lingering memory.

I had a massage today and found out my fascia as it ages bespeaks its ancient Scandinavian DNA. Apparently the Vikings brittled as they aged and so am I.

Husband rolled home late afternoon and was so happy to be home with all of us. I cooked a homegrown chicken for Husband’s homecoming, Eldest third day of her happy job, and me to celebrate the home we all have created here. I ate a lot of pasta.
