Tea With Me: 22nd October, 2018 Monday

22nd October, 2018 Monday

Day broke sadly bright and chilled clear. Texas Sis and Magic Man were in the kitchen finding breakfast when I came down. The air was heavy in the room with the pending farewell.

My mother’s passing just a while ago has left my three siblings and me a bit adrift about our relationship. When parents pass, its a reinvention for those that still breathe air.

I was sad as she and Magic Man drove out the drive on the way to ribbon west down Gorge and find a plane to take them home. There is a lot of rain in Austin’s sky these days. I am waiting for our skys to become laden with the wet. I wonder what our winter will bring forth. Bitter winds and cold and ice or mild, chill and dry.

I spent the day discussing many pasts with two friends who are far away and have known me well for decades and painting rooms on my computer. I am on the hunt for just the right colors for my middle floor.

Eldest starts her job tomorrow and Husband leaves for a day or two to see his Papa South of here. A new potential dogsitter is coming to meet the Band tomorrow afternoon at 3.

I have been tired today and a little sad.

The landscape is a flame with its last brilliant song to Earth before its stripped by time, wind and rain.

Ta.
