Tea With Me: 15th October, 2018 Monday

  15th October, 2018 Monday

Tea was Jasmine flowered green and day dawned for me with Lady Dragon Deerhound jumping on the bed flopping Zoi up and out for fear of Lady Dragon’s wrath.  So up I got and wandered the trail down from roost to light of day still horizontal to the edge of earth and just the peak of our volcano to the North was lit with the pink light of dawn.

I was sleepy yet so I keyed in to couch with blanket and the newly emptied furries who were happy to go back to sleep.  After night they leave the roost to empty tanks outside and back in they leap upon the Keystone Couch and conk back out until the call of empty tums awaken them to bug me for their breakfast.

I have a new chiropractor.  My tall frame has taken quite a beating from the move in the last 13 months.  And I have not been adjusted since I left the State of Washington.  A few weeks ago a rib head had rotated out and I found it hard to breathe.  So I pulled up on the internet the list of Chiros here.  I called one who called me back and she had time to see me on her day to rest.  I talked to her for a while before she put me on her table.  She massages muscles with her fingers before she moves the bones.  She is quite gifted with her hands to find the spot that knots.  And I have knotted up a lot.

Today I had my third time with her.  She worked on my left hip which likes to hike out from where it is supposed to sit.  Wow.  I said Ow a lot but my friggin hip did indeed release.  It is amazing what the body stores.  Massage is such a happy thing for me and my poor form.

My Oldest came back home today after talking to the people who have employed her for the last nine months to tell them she is taking the new position.  They are delighted for her and will work her in for the time she can give them.

We went to see the Flock Of Five and their Thanksgiving and Christmas.  She cut back blackberry vines so I could pass the path smoothly without bleeding.  The Flock of Five were nestled in their copse.  One was dusty bathing and the other four were walking in the weeds.  T & C were honking flapping and waddling around.  I am finding them more and more to be a part of the horde.

A little while later Youngest called to chat about this and that and talked about her courses in the deep Earth Sciences.   She is tasked with memorizing the Ages of the Earth and is using a white board the last inhabitants of her new tiny pad left behind them to write them down and seed them in her brain cells.  She started to describe a problem involving calculating radioactivity and I just laughed out loud.   She has ascended into deep deep nerd and I am deeply proud of her.  This is her language, there is no doubt.

She wanted me to see her new boots and the shot she took had the corner of her white board sporting the word triassic.  I told her I wanted her to tell me about Triassic.  She sent me this.

“Had the first mammals and Pangea began to seperate! Haha didn’t cheat either. Did u know that mice were one of the only things that survived the Dino extinction and because they burrowed  and fed on roots. They started it all”

So Of Mice and Men makes so much sense.

As the day dimmed, the sunpink light lit the sundown side of the volcano to our North.

Do not let the little pink lit mound behind that his fool you.  that pink cap betops a monster of a shoot that when it blows, as it surely will, when, noone knows, it will rain hell on all around for many many miles.  I do love that cap, though.  Peaceful and serene with the promise of explosion sometime in the future.

And Zoi slept peacefully on my knee.

Ta.
