Tea With Me: 10th October, 2018

10th October, 2018 Wednesday

I woke to cloud choked Gorge. My melon walls were whispering the dawn.

Two years ago today we heard my Mama’s suspected Cancer was real. I had not really landed from the Ferris wheel of the MOB for my daughter’s wedding. I helped a friend almost 40 years ago photograph a punk band called “My Daughter’s Wedding”. Jesus, how has the time flown so. It was my Oldest’s wedding to the SIL under the Montana Sky. She is 32 now. That’s where the time has flown, into her whirl.

Oldest is gonna have a good job offer come her way real soon. The chickens make the money she put in this round but she needs a paycheck to feel whole. I am so happy and relieved for her. She worked so hard for what is collected in her beautiful brain and now she gets to share it in the way to light others’ brains.

And so two years ago the clock started on the last nine weeks my Mama could call me up to play. I miss her. Oh yes, I do. I miss her. More and more as the days tick forward from that morning she did breathe that last.

So my sister and her lovely guy are coming to visit for the first time in the Gorge. So today I did rearrange the chaos in my kitchen. It set the domino line off and so the task became the kitchen and the mud room and the two closets in the bedroom and the closet in the bottom hall and up and down and back and forth and steps almost came off at 16K. My feet are sore but my kitchen ain’t a mess no more.

And Zoi stashed a favorite toyon the landing going up to Roost and boldly showed me while I laughed.

Tea was green. Dream Kite flew too far.

Ta.
