Tea With Me: 4th October, 2018 Thursday

4th October, 2018 Thursday

The day was a clear cold windwhipped gold.

I dreamt and they eluded.

I am still weighing pros and cons of adding Cousin Zoi. A friend is inspecting ways to bring the pup home with his to the middle of the Country. I called a woman who couriers pups across the globe. We’ll see.

Zoi has conquered dog door, in and out to big paddock on her own. She came home this afternoon for a cuddled in nap and while she slept I decided to trim her nails. Oh God. You think I was amputating every toe. She screamed and wept and pulled her foot away. We did just fine until the last toe. And then the one toe she didn’t cry for was the one that bled. Styptic powder.

Tea was green and 10k steps today.

Kavanaugh and Ford have lit the ground fire that’s been smoldering since 11/8/16. Apparently the GOP is hemorrhaging it’s women. And Flake’s swing vote is not assured to stop the confirmation. I am trying not to look.

A friend described listening to another’s opposite perspective and was so disturbed at how disturbed it made him. But that shit really does sound to us like crazy.

How has it come to this? And will we ever find our way to civilized discussion without either condemning our differences or feeling intolerably disgusted by them.

So part of homing in this house is changing out some lights. My Husband, The Contraptionist, was quite challenged by my choice of pendant lights in place of canned spots. Well, he had to retrofit all of how they mounted to the cieling and then today, Voila, I have three lovely faerie pendant lights to make me feel at home.

Ta.
